This site is about exploring the wildlands of Trabuco Canyon and surrounding areas. This started as a web site project for a web site design class I took at Saddleback College. After it served its purpose for the class, I decided to expand it and use it as a tool to learn more about web site design. It is also a place to show my photos of the local area. As an amateur photographer, it provides a place to display photos that otherwise would stay on a hard drive somewhere and likely never see the light of day. I think photographers learn their craft more quickly if their photos are published in some form where they and subject to public scrutiny.
In some cases, my text or photo captions provide a description of the flora or fauna of this area. Don't rely on this site for plant or animal identification; there are far better sites for that. Please me with any corrections. This is new territory for me. I welcome any contributions or suggestions for the site.
